Make and Bake

April 25, 2020

It has been noticed in our shopping trolleys and online shopping that there is less availability for basic ingredients like flour and yeast. Families are going back to basics making dishes from scratch.
There is discussion emerging that we may rekindle the recipes we used to follow and remember what grandma used to make. Could it be healthier and bring families together?
For some it’s literally cheaper to do this than buy ready made and without consistent weekly incomes it has become a necessity.
For others it’s a way to keep busy, work together as a family and start to make meal times a focal point to the day.
Times have changed and continue to change. We seem to be adapting and may be using skills previously less practiced.
